I'm the mother of a wonderful little boy. He has inspired me to be the best I can be everyday. He is so excited about everything, everyday, like going to school and learning; it's hard not to show the same excitement for things in my own life. I hope no one else has to deal with a heartbreaking discovery about their child as I did, but in August of 2007, I witnessed his first seizure; then another a few weeks later. They are now under control with medication, but that was a real wake up call for me. I kept thinking about the things he was no longer able to do, so I contacted the local Epilepsy Foundation and I now know epilepsy is very common.
Enough about the sad stuff. I love reading, doing crossword puzzles, bowling, playing league volleyball, and watching movies. I'm what some would call goofy, but I think it just makes life way more fun when I am able to laugh and share the gift of laughter and fun with others I come in contact with everyday. I still have the same friends that I had in high school and the ones I met in college. Even though my circle of friends is stable, I am always looking to start new friendships with new people. |
